The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums is located at Spiegel Grove, the 25-acre wooded estate of 19th U.S. President Rutherford B. and First Lady Lucy Hayes, in Fremont, Ohio.
Your presidential visit begins by driving through original White House gates.
Tour the president’s and first lady’s 31-room Victorian mansion with nearly all original artifacts and furnishings, explore the museum, check out the presidential research library, stop at the couple’s tomb and walk the mile of paved trails.
Enjoy special events and exhibits throughout the year. Hands-on activities, themed tours of the Hayes Home and other programs are offered on certain days.
The site is America’s first presidential library and the forerunner of the federal presidential library system and also an arboretum accredited by ArbNet.
