Downtown Fremont Inc. will be hosting Holly Jolly Events in Downtown Fremont to get the holiday season started. The Tree Lighting on Friday, November 29 is at 7pm and Small Business Saturday Shop Hop on Saturday, November 30. Attendance to these events is free to the public.
The Tree Lighting will take place at the corner of Front and State Streets by The Santa House Downtown. Prior to the Tree Lighting from 5-7pm, Santa will be in his house for children to visit and tell him what they want for Christmas. Santa will have hours from 1-3pm on Saturday, November 30 also.
To kick off the Tree Lighting, there will be carolers and a hot cocoa wagon with cookies to get everyone in the spirit of the holiday season.
Small Business Saturday Shop Hop is an effort to support local shops that make our communities strong. This event encourages people to Shop Small and brings more holiday shopping to small businesses.
From November 29 through December 16, 2019, for every $10 you spend at a participating downtown retail business, your name will be added into the 2 drawings being held on Monday, December 16, 2019. The first name out receives 250 Downtown Fremont Dollars. The second name out receives 100 Downtown Fremont Dollars. Downtown Dollars are redeemable at the many participating Downtown Fremont stores.
