Downtown Fremont Inc. will be partnering with the City of Fremont and local businesses for the 3rd annual Downtown Fremont, Ohio, New Year’s Eve Celebration. This year Fremont has a lot to celebrate from our 2020 Bicentennial to being named Best Hometown of Northwest Ohio. All which will make ringing in 2020 memorable for all.
The day begins at 10am at the Fremont Rec Center for Kid’s Noon Year’s Celebration with fun carnival games and lasting until 1pm with a balloon drop to ring in 2020 at 12pm for all. Terra State Community College will be hosting the 2020 Noon Year’s Eve Bash for the seniors of the community to ring in 2020.
Starting at 4pm, Downtown Fremont will be transformed into an illuminating spectacular with lighted decorations creating an atmosphere to make the fun of ringing in 2020 come alive throughout the evening. Open street activities such as ax throwing, human snow globe, ice skating, escape room, LED putt-putt and polar slide to partake in by purchasing a $5 wrist band to have fun for the entire night.
Businesses such as Kohler’s 818 Club, Fremont Elks 169, Elroy’s Deli Market, Scrapetta’s Italian, Down Thyme Café, Live Edge Center, The Garrison, The Strand and Fremont VFW Post 2946 will be having specials and different types of entertainment at each.
The evening will be centered on the 7:30pm ceremony of Fremont being the Best Hometown at the Garrison and Front Streets intersection. Following the ceremony will be a laser light show at 8pm and again at midnight to ring in the New Year.
SJCC will be hosting Ohio Revival from 8:30-11:30pm for an amazing show with no cover. Throughout the evening, a shuttle will loop from Downtown Fremont up Croghan by the Fremont Elks 169 to SJCC to Kohler’s 818 Club and then back to Downtown Fremont. This shuttle is FREE for everyone to experience all the different venues and what they have to offer for New Year’s Eve in the FRE!
From 9:30pm to midnight there will be carriage rides through the downtown until it is time to ring in 2020.
