Downtown Fremont Inc. will be partnering with the City of Fremont and local businesses for the 4th Annual Downtown Fremont, Ohio, New Year’s Eve Celebration. The “Fire & Ice” event is about more than ringing in the New Year in our Best Hometown it is about community, having a place to go where we all feel welcome, safe, and able to relax & enjoy an incoming year full of promise
Starting at 8pm, this community event will be held in Downtown Fremont on Front Street between Croghan Street and Birchard Avenue and will serve those in Fremont as well as the surrounding Sandusky County area and beyond with interactive activities on the street for all ages, along with music, photo ops, fun, and food.
The interactive games from 8 to midnight are VR Google and Pods, Giant Pac Man Battle, Urban Hoops, & Giant Foosball Extreme which can be played for an unlimited access when a $5 lanyard is purchased. Interactive games will be under a tent, with lights and heating on the two blocks of Front Street. New Year’s t-shirts and other fun accessories will be available for sale as well.
While enjoying the fun of New Year’s Eve, on the street we will also have DJ Werkit as well as a dance area. Several photo ops in downtown such as “Enjoy the Ambiance of New Year’s Eve, sitting at one of the Fire & Ice Lounging Areas” and a large “Happy New Year 2022, Fremont Ohio” ice sculpture at the intersection of Garrison & Front. The New Year’s Eve Bar Craw, “DORA Freeze and Thaw” will be happening at DORA liquor establishments to feature signature cocktails and specialty beers to help ring in 2022 in a festive way.
Businesses will be open and have entertainment inside their venues as well like Pottery Perfection ”Done Your Way”, The Strand & Backstage Lounge, The Garrison, Scarpetta’s, Elroy’s Deli Market, Live Edge Center, Kohler’s 818 Club, Fremont Elks Lodge 169, Fremont VFW Post 2947, The Open House, Flora Salon & Spa, Thingamajigs, Down Thyme Cafe, and The Party Starts Here.
