Downtown Fremont Inc. will be hosting the Croghan Colonial Bank Farmers Market and ProMedica Memorial Hospital & South Creek Clydesdales Harvest Happenings Event on Front Street on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 9am-1pm. Attendance to the market and events will be free to the public. This Farmers Market has many touchless activities for children and adults.
South Creek Clydesdales will have a 2 hour extensive set-up that starts at 9am at Croghan and Front Streets that will showcase an equestrian exhibition. There will be a drawing for one family to participate in the AnnualClydesdale Parade which will go through the market at 11am.
Something new is the Virtual Costume Contest; participate by emailing your favorite Halloween picture to marketing@downtownfremontohio.org prior to Friday, October 16 to be a part of the contest. One entry per person. Judging will take place during the market, and is open to the community. Winners will be announced after the market. 1st $75. 2nd $50 & 3rd $25 in Downtown Fremont Dollars to be used at member locations.
The Strand Theater will be showing a Special Feature of Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown on the hour during the market.
Look for the orange balloon throughout the market! Downtown Fremont businesses and vendors will be participating in Trick or Treat from 10am-12pm which allows children to go to stores and vendors to receive pre-packaged tricks and treats.
Downtown Business will also be participating in a Pumpkin Hunt, where adults search for pumpkins located in stores to uncover a secret code. Activity sheets can be picked up and returned at the Downtown Fremont Inc. tent, located at Front and Garrison intersection. Completed sheets will be entered in to a drawing to win $100 Downtown Fremont Dollars.
And don’t forget to stop at the Downtown Fremont Inc. tent at the Front and Garrison intersection to pick up a coloring sheet, color and return to the office at 315 Garrison Street, Fremont, Ohio by Friday, October 30 to be entered into a contest to win 1st $75. 2nd $50 & 3rd $25 Downtown Fremont Dollars.
Front Street will be closed from 6am until 2pm on Saturday, October 17th from Croghan Street to Ewing Street for this event.
