Downtown Fremont Inc. will be hosting the last of the season Fremont Federal Credit Union Car Show on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, from 5-8pm. The Croghan Colonial Bank Farmers Market & the Sandusky County Park District Get Active Fremont Event will be on Front Street on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, from 9am to 1pm. Attendance to the car show and market will be free to the public.
Check-in for the Car Show contestants will be on the day of the event in Lot A (Brady Parking Lot) and judging will occur at 7:30 p.m. with trophies awarded shortly thereafter. Dash plaques and goodie bags will be given to the first 150 participants to pre-register and there will also be a 50/50 raffle.
Special feature of the Car Show is the Scooby Doo “Mystery Machine.” The Mystery Machine will be located in Lot A (Brady Parking Lot). This is a great opportunity for all ages to get up close in person with the Mystery Machine for photos.
The Get Active Event will feature free and activities promoting health, recreation and fitness throughout the market for the WHOLE family from yoga, obstacle course, cardio drumming, nutritional drinks and much more!
Businesses/Organizations participating in the Get Active Fremont Event will have signs at their spots to indicate they are a part of the event. After someone participates in the activity, a ticket is given. After all activities have been completed, tickets are to be turned into the Downtown Fremont Inc. tent at the Front and Garrison Street intersection. Tickets will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Wellness Basket.
Lot A (Brady Parking Lot) will be closed Friday, September 8th from midnight until Saturday, September 9th at 9pm. Front Street will also be closed Saturday from 2pm until 9pm from Croghan Street to Hayes Avenue for the Car Show. From 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 16th, there will be NO PARKING on Front Street between Croghan Street and the alley at the Fremont Municipal Building and on Garrison Street between Arch Street and Bidwell Avenue in Downtown Fremont due to the Farmers Market & Get Active Event. Parking is available and is handicap assessable on any of the side streets.
